TICK! TICK! TICK!
“What’s that sound, Mum?”
Karina sprang from her chair and dashed towards her room. Startled, Yuna jumped up and ran after her mother. Then both froze, eyes widening as the laptop on the desk displayed a horrifying scene – a video of an explosion.
“Mum, what’s this?” Yuna pointed a shaky finger at the screen, her heart pounding in her chest. As the video of the explosion played on, a horrifying realisation dawned on her. Her hand flew to her mouth, stifling a gasp. It was her father’s house.
Karina crumpled to the floor.
“D-dad! Daddy!!!” Yuna screamed as if possessed.
